THEME:   Exchanging B for C in phrases changes their meanings, orally

GOOD ONES:
Sketched a Gibb brother?   DREW BARRY [with C instead of B, it would be the actor]
Qualifying exam for opera school?  VOCAL BOARD [with C it would sound like Chord[ {"Examiners for opera school" might have been better}
What you can't get if you pass the bar?   A DRINK
Confrontational opening?   NON [making it the opposite]
Base shade?   KHAKI [Army base]
Glower?   EMBER [didn't read it with long O --- missed the question mark]
One helping swingers?   BATBOY [not party-goers or apes]

BTW:
Undersea party pooper?   MARINE BORE [the clue makes no sense, but "Undersea drill" does] {I smell an editor's touch.}

I immeditely recalled the songs MARIA and MR. LEE, but I'm sorry and a bit embarrassed about the latter --- a brain worm.

Haven't heard "Have A COW" in a "coon's age."

Lotto variant   BEANO [got me on this one; I thought the gas reliever pills, a motto of which might be "In Beano nary gas."    :-[

RATING:  ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
