THEME:   phrases containing EDEN, but not as its own word

GOOD ONES:
Classic children's novel {& theme}   THE SECRET GARDEN
Mad man?   ALFRED E. NEUMAN
Auction ending?   EER
Helpful tip for a puzzle solver?   ERASER [tip of the pencil]
Leaves in a bag   TEA   [not the verb]

BTW:
"ANON, the dreadful thunder…" from Hamlet is right up there with "What, ho!" as a memorable quotation.

Kubrick's out-of control computer   HAL [if you wanted to use The Bard, "Shakespearean prince" would have served]

"Hold your horses, I'm coming"   IN A SEC [the clue indicates impatience; the answer means and suggests only soon]

"Rockin' Robin" chorus word   TWEET [embarrassed to say that I knew that, but I had successfully blocked it from memory till now]

RATING:    ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
