THEME:   last sound of a word is repeated by its homonym

GOOD ONES:
Really old hardwood?   ANTIQUE TEAK
Disney's Bambi?   WHITETAIL TALE
Emperor Justinian as a young man?   BYZANTINE TEEN
Give a damn?   CURSE
Ranch handle   TEX
Letters to the Coast Guard   SOS
TV component?   TELE

BTW:
Very, in Vienna   SEHR [This is what happens when foreign words are allowed: we get an Austrian adverb.  It is, of course, a means of making it easy for construction --- and a means of marring an otherwise perfect puzzle.]

RATING:  ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
