THEME:   two-word phrases beginning with MA and PA, respectively

GOOD ONES:
The Kettles {& theme}   MA-AND-PA
Eye drop   TEAR [note singular, two words]

BTW:
That, to Teresa  ESO
      >:( First, who's Teresa?  Teresa Wright?  If so, she's not Spanish.
      >:( Second, ESO is only a Spanish word and never used in our language to mean that.
      >:( Third, had this column been studied as it should be by those in the Xword biz, ESO would correctly be clued by reference to the song "Eso Beso."

A Labor Day puzzle might include "cotton picker" and other jobs that have other meanings.  Anyway, happy Labor Day to all of us who add(ed) to the GNP.  :)

RATING:    ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
