Sat., 2/16 Wilber & Peterson

THEME:   themeless; interesting grid design

GOOD ONES:
Got the led out?   MINED
One doing cabinet work?   FILER
Run after a fly?   RBI [the "fly" is a fly ball --- under the right conditions a run may be scored --- RBI = run batted in]
Nasty fall   SLEET [never understood why some clues get a ? while others equally misleading do not]

BTW:
Lady Violet in "Downton Abbey," e.g.   DOWAGER [just realized how often she wears that color]

Both Brad and Doug make tough but good puzzles.  Today we were double-teamed.  Pity the lone solver with nothing but his pencil.

RATING:  ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

Run after a fly? = TAGUP
I believe in this case, "Run" is the act of running rather than scoring a run.

Hi, rbe---

I can't check yesterday's puzzle because my Adobe Reader is bellyaching.

Was the answer TAGUP or RBI?  I thought it was the latter.  If the former is correct, you are.

Hi, magus---

It's nice to have you back.
It was the former.
