THEME:   phrases comprised of two words suggesting duality and containing double letters

GOOD ONES:
Drive-in offering {and theme}   DOUBLEFEATURE
Two oldies but goodies:
Spherical opening?   HEMI
Fiery emperor?   NERO

BTW:
1% of a cool mil.   TENG [but the idiom is "ten g's" (with an ess) --- as with RBI, more than one is "RBI's" not as the illiterati and pretentious say: RBI for more than one]

If one must use ETE, "Hot time in France" is an old but good clue.

RATING:  ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
