Primitive timekeeper  DIAL

A very early definition of dial is "the face of a sundial,"  but is it used in this sense in the 21st Century?  My Casio G-Shock receives the time from the atomic clock in Denver.  It has a dial.  The primtive timekeeper is a sundial.
