Title: All Mixed (up)
Post by: robynw on October 16, 2009, 09:21:35 AM
Hello all,

I have in my puzzle the answer ALLMIXED, which I've clued as: Scrambled, with "up". I'm wondering if this violates the partial phrase rule-- initially I didn't think it did, but now that I'm done I'm having second thoughts.

What do you think?

Thanks,

robyn

Robyn- Yup, that's an eight letter partial and it won't fly. Ever.

How about "No lumps" for the clue?

As a stand-alone phrase, it's not common parlance (or what you will see constructors describe as being "in the language")--that's going to be another strike against. All you can do pretty much is look for a different entry that works.
