Title: LAT Tue. 5/22 Andrea Carla Michaels
Post by: magus on May 22, 2012, 08:51:07 AM
Possible Title: Covert Figures

Good Ones:
Passing remarks?   OBIT

Covert Theme: geometric figures ending phrases

Some Nits to Pick:
Pasta piece   NOODLE [This is alimentary: noodles are made mainly with egg; pasta (macaroni, spaghetti, etc.) is made with semolina {hard} flour and often has no egg.  They are different in composition as well as in taste.  But they do look pretty much the same.]  BTW, I did not marry an Italian, neither did my daughter.  Now my grandchildren call pasta noodles!  OMG Oh, Dio mio!

No post tomorrow --- minor eye surgery.  Guess I'll have to "see" about Thursday.

RATING:   ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

 ;D ;D ;D
Is that the proper rating system?  First time posting here.  LOVED this puzzle!
Was surprised/dismayed by so many sports clues, including a near natick at LSU/USFL...
But way overshadowed by all the sparkliness...
INOR out, LOLL,
Those Minnesota WINTERS must have inspired "Bundle up times"...
When I saw BERMUDATRIANGLE crossing COMPASS thought there was a nautical/mysterious disappearances theme coming up, but then saw the geometry of it all...

Fav was the meta San ANDREAS Fault.

Doesn't get much better than this - thanks!

Hi, Tita---

My system is not "proper"; it's personal.

I appreciate that you gave reasons for your opinion.
