Title: crossword "etiquette"

Is spelling out a title of a film or TV series (FX series "Twenty Four", e.g.) allowed by publishers?

Look at today's LAT 44-A.

FTENS,  for F-10 Jets.

Coffee break time is TENAM all the time.  So my guess is that it's probably OK.

Numbers are often spelled out, however I think you're in a grey area. A title is a title.  On the other hand, if you look up 24 on imdb, you can find it if you type "twenty-four" in the search feature.

I can't remember where Will comes down on this, but I'm sure many editors would be inclined to cut you some slack.
