GOOD ONES!

"Love and war, to some"   ARTS
"Begin, e.g."    ISRAELI

Crossing STRO and ORDONEZ is okay if you know baseball --- pretty tough if you don't.  [STRO is short for the Astros.]

Didn't much care for "One might keep you from going out" as a clue for SNORER.  By "going out" Michael meant "sleeping," but that's not the idiom.  "Falling off" would have been better.

I was glad to learn that KAA was the name of a Kipling python (good thing I knew PURPLERAIN) and that COPRA is dried coconut meat.  Sounds like Deepak.
