… Well, almost.  The idiom is “tie up loose ends” not “wind up….”  Or is it okay as is, SJS?

Ha!  No, that one I agree with you.  I've not heard "wind up loose ends"; tie up is the idiom are far as I know.  One might "wind up for the day", but by tying up loose ends...
