School Segments

 :)
Repeated cacophonic sound?   HARDC
West of Brooklyn   MAE
Rather, once   ANCHOR [I thought archaic for the word rather]
Theme: phrases that can be read as school segments of specialized degrees
Part of a surgery degree?   CUTTINGCLASS
Part of a physics degree?   COLLISIONCOURSE [atoms collide]

 ???
The other theme terms --- MODULE, UNIT, and PERIOD --- are primarily parts of a CLASS or COURSE and only secondarily of a degree.  So I sense a lack of parallelism.  Or is this too much a “nitpick?”

RATING:   ;D ;D Three grins = Excellent: Loved it; Two grins = Good: Enjoyed it; One grin = Satisfactory: A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Unsatisfying: No fun
