Possible Title:   Hidden Snags

Theme: The word TEAR hidden in phrases

Good Ones:
Rip to pieces {and theme}   TEARAPART [I guess TEAR can be seen “apart” from the phrase]
It may be set or set off   ALARM
Beetle juice?   GAS
One helping after a crash   TECH [computer crash]

By the Way:
Not being a “gamer” I have no idea what LEVEL means relative to “video stage.”
But I am old enough to remember Gibson GIRLs --- and to have found them attractive.

Who knew?:
It was Leo IV and not Leo V who followed Pope Sergius II!

Some Nits to Pick:
Of the four French words at 19- and 20-Across, TETE is the only one that is not used in our language.

We want to hear the whole story   TELLIT [“Tell it” is not an oft used phrase and so is not an expression worthy of an entry; in fact, “tell us” would have been better given the clue.  However, “Go Tell It On the Mountain” and “Tell It Like It Is” (with apologies to English teachers) are two pop songs.]

RATING:   ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
