Title: LAT Sat. 4/23 Michael Wiesenberg

Can You Spot…?

No, I can’t.  But this lead-in to the puzzle begs the question why the LAT eschews titles six days a week.  If there is room today, why not other days?  Titles are part of the fun (that’s why I make them up for this space), and they help alert the solver to an otherwise covert theme.

A choir may sing in it   UNISON
Kin kin   KITH

 :(
Apron   SMOCK [they are not the same; smocks have sleeves]
CHICA
ACA [now not only are foreign words used, their abbreviations are fine with the LAT.  I took 2.5 years of college Spanish but didn’t know this entry.   If you change PRAM to PROM, you'd get OCA which is Italian for mouth.  Bad, I know, but better than some random abbreviation.]

RATING:  ;D Three grins = Excellent: Loved it; Two grins = Good: Enjoyed it; One grin = Satisfactory: A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Unsatisfying: No fun
