Post by: magus on June 27, 2012, 08:02:24 AM
Possible Title: By The Way

Theme: first words of phrases can be preceded by BY yielding mild oaths

Good Ones:
This puzzle's title based on {theme}   BYLINES
Dollar deal?   RENTAL (Dollar = car rental co.)
Jet giant   LEAR (two football teams describing the plane maker)
One may be fawning   DOE

By the Way:
I suspect the four oaths came about from those who did not wish to say God or Jesus and by so doing avoid taking the Lord’s name in vain.

No post tomorrow --- eye surgery --- hope to have two on line Friday morning.

RATING:   ;D ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
