Title: Puzzle database updates?
Post by: mmcbs on January 08, 2015, 08:42:50 AM
I LOVE Cruciverb, use it every day, and just renewed for another year, noticing a fee increase from previous . . .

One thing that has been concerning me lately is that it appears the most recent data from puzzles dates to about April 2014. Of course I know nothing of the updating process, but it seems that is a little stale.

Interested in knowing more about this and whether others consider this a problem. My biggest concern is that in doing themes for publications, it is critical to ascertain whether theme entries or ideas have been used before, particularly in recent puzzles.

I have had health and personal issues over the last few months. I will be updating the database starting this weekend. It may take some time to get caught up. Identifying theme entries, as well as unusable entries for word lists, is time consuming. Hang in there!
