Post by: magus on December 22, 2014, 08:47:03 AM
THEME:   first word of phrase is an animal

GOOD ONES:
Lion {& theme}   KING OF BEASTS [though only in the broadest sense is any of the named animals, especially a SALMON, considered a beast]

RATING:     :'(
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

Also, KING cobra, KING crab, KING penguin, and KING salmon. The theme's a bit more elegant with this angle.

Yes, it is better but elegant may be a stretch, and they are hardly breasts.  I didn't know about King salmon; but if I had, I'm not sure even then that I'd have noticed.  The problem with this theme and today's (Tuesday) is that they are covert, and that's why I have been campaigning for titles and/or clues in the grid to ensure that a good theme is not overlooked.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up, Sheep 1234.
