Title: Sun., 6/15 Elizabeth C. Gorski
Post by: magus on June 15, 2014, 09:42:42 AM
THEME:   Both words of a two-word phrase begin with PA

GOOD ONES:
Title:  PA DE DEUX [not pas de deux]
Messages from Mozart?   NOTES
Private organization?   ARMY
Fat head?  LIPO [as a prefix it heads the term]
William and Kate's set   TELLY [TV set to Brits --- I thought a social set so far above my own I didn't know what it was]
Fowl language?   PEEP
Talking points?   ROSTRA [literally the points from which they speak]
Guitar support   KNEE [simple enough]
Acts inappropriately?   EMOTES

BTW:
___ favor   POR [In formal text, foreign words are italicized.  In Xwords, they're not; hence, the word "favor" looks like English but here is Spanish.  I don't know if por favor is used so much in English that it is appropriate for us, but I like the idea of using a word that is the same in two languages.

PARCHMENT PAPER and PAISLEY PATTERN seem rather redundant.

RATING: ;D ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
