Post by: magus on December 27, 2013, 09:17:26 AM
THEME:   car puns

GOOD ONES:
Oater pal in an A3?   AUDI PARTNER
Tales of a 9-3?   SAAB STORY
Fur whom Beethoven wrote a bagatelle   ELISE

BTW:
OTRA and OESTE aren't used in English, and OTRA is used also across an imaginary line between Mexico and the US, not just "overseas."

Heist haul, to a hood   TEN G [should be TEN G'S and clue needs "at times."

The Tennyson quote using ANEAR recalled the old pop song "Chattanooga Choo Choo" wherein "lend AN EAR" is part of the introductory verse.  (So here I am referring to pop culture when we were given a poetic reference I usually prefer.  Truth is, I like the song better than the Tennyson juvenilia.)

RATING:  ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
