THEME:   phrases containing musical voices

GOOD ONES:
One's toughest critics, often {& theme}   INNER VOICES [they are "inner" in the phrases also]
Basics for Dick and Jane   ABC'S ["Dick and Jane" is also basic]
B in chemistry   BORON [my reading glasses frame from 30 years ago is made of the stuff and still going strong]

BTW:
Copycat   APER [million dollars to the person who finds this word in a print medium other than Xwords --- make it a billion]

Roller coaster cry   WHEE [I'd say it's a mother's cry when pushing her toddler on a swing.  On roller coasters the cries get a bit more intense --- and salty.]

Slangy sibling   SISTA [seems a phonetic spelling of sister, especially in the Northeast]

RATING: ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
