GOOD ONES:
Dramatic revelations ASIDES [didn't think plays right off]
Kurdish relative FARSI [I thought people, not languages]
Organ that may be caught EYE [catch someone's eye in a restaurant, for example]
BTW:
More jargony SLANGIER [It may be a word, but how would it be used? "EATS" is slangier than "GRUB"?]
Extended stays ABODES [the stays are temporary; I don't believe ABODES suggest lengthy time]
I can't remember when we were last offered a quotation, nor can I remember any quote as devoid of anything to recommend it. It appeared that this puzzle's main attempt was to stump the solver, but even at that it failed at keeping me from completing the thing in ink with no write-overs.
