Title: Tue., 8/13 Greg Johnson
Post by: magus on August 13, 2013, 09:01:10 AM
THEME:   entries with 3 U's

GOOD ONES:
Whom "I'm in love with" in an Ames Bros. song   YOU-YOU-YOU [love this one because it not only has 3 U's but also is pronounced so]

BTW:
SCRUPULOUS and 3 U's, and unscrupulous has 4.  Wonder if there other words with as many.

U.S. state with its own elec. power grid   TEX [the abbrev. for decades has been TX, so I'd clue it "John Ritter's dad" or "Kind of Mex?]

Rude, annoying one, in slang   BOZO [not in my understanding of the slang; a bozo is a fool or dope with no hint of rudeness]

Hot coffee server   URN [I couldn't help thinking it meant a waitress, but I guess that makes me a DOM (oddly not used since I became one)]

RATING:    ;D ;D [for the theme more than the cluing and fill]
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
