THEME:   last words of phrases are types of staves

GOOD ONES:
Time of one's life   ERA [as opposed to EON, "billion-year span"]

BTW:
Seems a high number of words seen mostly in crosswords: TECS, UTE, MOIRE, ECLAT, STUPA, MANSE, ESSE

One of the Khans   ALY [this set appeared two or three days ago; before that "never"; and I saw it ALI, before Cassius Clay]

RATING: ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
