Don't know why everything was struck through --- perhaps it's a sign. :-\
THEME: missing first letters of phrases create other phrases
GOOD ONES:
One assaulting a sorceress? WITCH-HITTER
Great price for a meadow? [P]LEA-BARGAIN
Start of a cowboy romance?
Place with an important part in the Bible? RED-SEA
BTW:
The Shakespearean cry referred to in the theme clue is missing an "OUT." And the word "spot" for "first letter" doesn't seem to work.
Slogan site TEE [refers to the shirt. Took me some time to get it because I was thinking golf, about which I know little.]
Doughnut filler JELLY [why are pasteries without holes called doughnuts?]
Largely listener-sponsored org. NPR [I'd say "partly" would be closer to the truth.]
RATING: ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

The missing letters are S-P-O-T in order, I wasn't clear if you picked up on that.
Individual listeners account for 39% of NPR funding.

I had not noticed the S-P-O-T order --- probably because I was put off by the misquote. Thanks for pointing it out and for providing the stat to prove my observation about NPR.
