Post by: magus on March 22, 2013, 09:22:40 AM
THEME:   reversing the syllables of the second word of a phrase yields a new phrase

GOOD ONES:
Seasonal shade of pink?   ACHRISTMASCORAL
Setting for Columbus   EST [Ohio's Eastern time]
Stick around a pool hall?   CUE
...and a number of other interesting clues

BTW:
Circa   AROUND [ "Circa" connotes an approximate time.  "Around" is not properly used to suggest "approximate"; about does.]

ELLAS and ESTO are not used in English, but ELLAS could have been clued "Fitzgerald and namesakes" or "Fitzgerald and Grasso."

RATING:  ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
