Title: Sun., 3/10 Grabowski & Venzke
Post by: magus on March 10, 2013, 10:54:03 AM
THEME:   DST letter combination in random phrases

GOOD ONES:
Annual cause of losing an hr.'s sleep {theme}   DST [I'm an hour late because I did not lose the hour   ;)]
Holidays dishes?   CHINA
Private club, briefly?   USO
Where glasses may be raised?   OPERA
Cooler cooler   ICE
Pair of duffers?   EFFS [2 F's in the word]
Seeing things   EYES
Arrives home safely, perhaps   SLIDES [in baseball --- to avoid being tagged out]

BTW:
Other baseball clues today foreshadow Opening Day on 4/1, but I don't know who had 12 RBI's in one game --- which is 3 weeks' work for good hitters.  :o

Env. contents   ENCS [I had ENCL, which is better, yet was forced to write-over!]     :'(

This puzzle exemplifies how one can be easy yet clever and a propos of the day.

RATING:    ;D ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
