Post by: magus on March 08, 2013, 11:53:46 AM
THEME:   WATER  in phrases which are read across and down featuring unnumbered and unclued spaces --- I think

GOOD ONES:
River phenomena (or what literally happens six times in this puzzle)   WATER + FALLS [literaaly the water falls because they are Down answers]
Breed canines?   TEETHE
Scoreless trio?   ESSES [3 s's]
NYC country club?   THEUN
Broke ground   HOED

BTW:
I found this very difficult doing it in the doctor's waiting room this morning (that's why I'm late today.  I do have access to the puzzles a day or so in advance to help in these posts and will attempt to use the service next time.  I prefer solving puzzles by pen rather than by keypad.)  Anyway, it was fun trying to figure out what to do.

RATING: ;D ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
