THEME:   Four A's are found in theme phrases

GOOD ONES:
Incursions {and theme}   FORAYS

BTW:
Same problem of mundane cluing as in the previous two offerings.  Take "Largest port in NW Africa" as a clue for CASABLANCA, which happens to be one of everyone's favorite movies.  Why would that not be the source of the clue?  Too easy if it were "Rick's Cafe locale" or  "Where Sam played for Ilsa"?  Then go with "Where 'Play it again, Sam' was never said" or "But there are no waters in _____"or "'I'm shocked, shocked...' movie" or "Ugarte's milieu" or a hundred better ones.
The point is that part of what makes solving Xwords enjoyable are allusions which evoke fond memories, be they references to media, sports, persons, etc.  To steadfastly avoid such allusions is to diminish the allure of the challenge. Three days in a row... :(

RATING: ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
