Title: Italian clue numbering styles: is the right choice for French users?
Post by: Dubbo on January 22, 2013, 05:39:36 PM
Hello

I noticed that in Francophone and Latin countries there’s a particular style in identifying clues. In detail: Italian and Anglophone ones have one number for each word, and one line in the clues. The other ones have a number (or letter) for each row or column, and the clues for all the words in that column/row are on the same line.

Could it be uncomfortable for French users to fill crosswords the “english / italian” way?

We need this information before starting an important software project related to crosswords.

Best regards,
Diego
